The Route: Easton Glacier, Mount Baker
On Monday July 15 2025 Any Mountain completed our 3rd mountain adventure to climb for a world without ovarian cancer.
Lead by mountain guide and ovarian cancer survivor, Jess Wedel, our team of 8 women: 2 ovarian survivors (Erica Mucha, Mary Kaye Dolan-Hall), 4 doctors (2 gyn oncologists, 1 general surgeon, 1 ob-gyn), and 2 supporters tried to climb to the 14,410 foot summit of Mount Rainier and raise funding for ovarian cancer prevention research and awareness.

Eight Women, One Mountain, One Mission
Mount Rainier is a mountain that requires crampons, ice-axes, ropes, heavy back packs, sleep deprivation, and exceptional grit. Even the most experienced mountaineers are turned back close to 50% of the time
Our mighty team of 8 women, led by Jess plus 3 women guides, spent 5 days on this enormous mountain facing our limits, finding our strength, learning our capacity, confronting our fears, feeling our sorrows, and celebrating our successes, and appreciating our lives.
Our goal was not to summit– although we all try to summit in life.
Our goal was coming together to do something seemingly insurmountable to make difference in the world of ovarian cancer.
3 members of our team reached the top of Mount Rainier on July 14– a survivor, a doctor, and a supporter. Every member of our team reached immeasurable heights on this journey together.
