For a World Without Ovarian Cancer

Surrounded by the massive glaciers and peaks of the Alaska Range and overlooking Alaska’s interior stands 20,310′ Mt. Denali the highest mountain in North America.

Funds raised by participants will go directly to gynecologic cancer research awareness efforts.

Joanie Hope Mayer

Dr. Joanie is a gyn oncologist, musician, and mountain adventurer.

Living in Anchorage, Joanie is founder of Any Mountain, Alaska Women’s Cancer Care, and Let Every Woman Know — Alaska. She is also deeply dedicated to global health equity. Joanie takes small steps but dreams BIG.

Jess Wedel

Jess is an ovarian cancer survivor, mountain guide, and inspirational speaker.

On May 14 2023 (Mother’s Day) Jess Wedel became the first ovarian cancer survivor in history to summit Mt Everest – 29,032 feet elevation. Jess leads mountain expeditions around the world and is The Adventure Director for Any Mountain.
